Sometimes I think sex education isn't really found in NE classes or the like, but really, it lurks in the syllabus of English in Literature.

did you see the ripples in the wind today? I did =]
I stood at the window for a full 5 mins to listen to the massiveness of raindrops and watch the streets blur. Can you imagine spreading yourself over such a big area and lighting up the otherwise dull road, without fancy technology..? I could imagine rain all over Singapore on this glimmering night. what GREAT power you possess you little droplets

MISFIT
I think it takes a lot of courage to be one or even acknowledge its reality in one's life. I was walking home one day when I saw this delinquent whiz past me on his bicycle, and he was wearing a shirt with a large grafity-ish fonted "MISFIT" printed on the back.
Does anyone ever fit into anywhere? Is he accepting his status in society, has he created a "haven" for himself in this apparently cruel society? Are we ostracising the problematic, trouble-making kiddos in our neighbourhoods? Some of them spend hours overly indulging in the games at the arcade. Some hang around in the carparks of tiny neighbourhood malls at unearthly hours. Some "merrily" puff out smoke from their nasal and oral cavities at a tender age of 14. We do know of their existence, we know their deeds, we kind of see the path they are taking towards their landing place. But we don't care, WHY? Or are we just jumping into irrational conclusions?
How do I even know that he's a delinquent, when I had only one glance of him? Who am I to judge in the first place?
I did it again, didn't I?

Hello hello.
Did you know that dolphins were spotted in Singapore?? Surely I mean dolphins in the wild. I found this website that has lots of information for persons interested in meeting Singapore's very own biodiversity FACE-TO-FACE. Right now, the only person I can think of who most probably might come along with me is chubby! who's ready for some coral reefs and mangroves and ribbon worms(???????) and seagrass(???) and sandy shores and hmmmm...dolphins? YEA be surprised not for we do have them right here beneath OUR FEET.
(with the exception of Jasvinder...though I'm sure she's got greateeeer stuff over there haha) to prove that bracketed point, let me quote the king, "I’ve seen more kinds of flowers [ all I’ve never seen in person before] here in just one day than 16 years in Singapore."
Alright.. to end off, here're 2 quotes to help us drift slightly off to somewhere less literal:
"The least movement is of importance to all nature. The entire ocean is affected by a pebble." -Blaise Pascal
Your next thought holds so much potential
You can choose to lift someone up, or do otherwise
"The sun, with all those plants revolving around it and dependent upon it, can still ripen a bunch of grapes as if it had nothing else in the universe to do." -Galileo
Have a happy day =]

I used to be an awkward and naively boastful girl. =(
...
am glad to have grown a wee bit more. But.
Let us see what really comes along when I do grow up.

11th July 2009. Stefanie Sun's 'The Answer Is...' Concert!
I finally saw Sun Yanzi in her element, wa she delivers, is that what she does best?
It started off with an empty stage, though already different with its big multifaceted white structure. I never knew a concert could get so personal. It hit me at the start that the holograms used during the concert were really deserving of serious attention. It wasn't a 2D concert whereby a large screen would be behind the performer with the projections, it was 3-Dimensional, real enough though not literally. The holograms seemed to have created animations of its own, it was a whale of a visual feast.
I really loved the whole concert, she made it so literaturish and artsy.(a bit ironic though since the one-of-its-kind technology made it possible) She sang every single song with such intent, making every song a story on its own, it was like a night of story-telling in melody. How I wished whoever's reading this was there. I was just in awe, and felt so contented right from the start. She and her team put up a show that expressed and inspired, and reflected reality that we often choose to ignore. The confidence and freeness that she emanated resonated the balance that she seemed to have found, and were subtly planting joy in all of our hearts.
The whole design presented by the holograms had an old school, rustic feel to it, very sweet. Many times, I was happy to just sit back and be absorbed with the beautiful graphics which were speaking right into my heart. (especially the gears and "我的愛" part[I want to share the video, but..can ah? is it illegal?? hmmm...]) Speaking of 我的愛, it was such a heartwarming instrumental rendition. While she was lowered to the backstage(which happened quite a few times hahah) to be donned in new costumes, she prepared prompts for the audience with the holograms..there was this one -'Is what you see really real?' and right after this, the effects once again gave us a pleasant surprise. She looked like she was right there singing "kite"(i think) with wind blowing her dress, but it was actually just a screen, she wasn't there. In truth, she was singing right beside it, on lower ground. Aiyo I really don't know how to say it laaaaaaa, you should have been there. Yes you.
Last night, she gave meanings to the songs she sang. I've never bothered to completely understand the lyrics in her songs.. Her show was zen-ish, and the perfect cup of tea for me. She's set the standard for concerts so high, so high, and did more than fulfilling our expectations.
It was just an empty stage, but you made it astonishingly alive.
Thank you for that perfect evening, Stefanie. You rock more than our socks and woks.
I LOVE THE DIFFERENTIATED VERSION OF GREEN LIGHT..seriously unfettered passion nearing the end =] someone posted it on youtube:

I saw little
grass angels
flying in the wind.
Tossed and turned
tossed and turned.
They're not flying,
you said.
Their paper wings
take them
nowhere.
this post is sweetly inspired by jaja thinking she can "SERIOUSLY LAY DOWN AND MAKE GRASS ANGELS KINDA LAY DOWN."

I saw this somewhere: "to encourage your child to pursue academic excellence" and I thought, more like "to accelerate the breeding of kiasuism". hmmm I mean no offence =]
Art is but a form of imitation of nature. How true! warped imitations I must say for some.
I'm fueled to be a better shutterbug! Everything and anything, everywhere and anywhere, so so so much potential! can you be any more excited knowing that? ART is magical. I'm trying to fuse photography and sound to craft a SOMETHING. and no, it's not known as video. I hope I get to find the means to get down to it and do it :D
A week of the June holidays had passed...and what have I done? I think I've had my fair share of a break=] and am ready to ZOOM
